The SOGI (Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity) Module for health and social care service providers with a focus on SAMEIC (South Asian, Middle Eastern, Indo-Caribbean) community members who identify as LGBTQ+.
Assist health and social care service providers to develop competency around SAMEIC LGBTQ+ language and culture in order to promote affirmative care. We do this by offering in-person and asynchronous training.
The training is based on the needs assessment conducted throughout Canada to identify the gaps and barriers faced by the SAMEIC LGBTQ+ community members while receiving care-related services.
